City of Walthourville Boil Water Advisory

PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT

The City of Walthourville temporarily suspended water service today at the request of the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) to allow crews to perform work associated with the bypass project.

During the course of the work, GDOT encountered an issue that required additional repairs. As a result, a Boil Water Advisory has been issued for the next 24 hours as a precautionary measure.

Please be advised that the City’s water system remains safe. Issuing a boil water advisory after this type of work is standard protocol to ensure the continued safety of our water supply.

Citizens are encouraged to boil water used for drinking, cooking, or brushing teeth during this advisory period.

The City appreciates your patience and cooperation as this work is completed.
